I was born in East Hampton, NY. My father was in the Air Force, so we traveled a bit. I grew up in Savannah, Manila, Okinawa, and Phoenix. I came to California to go to Stanford and got my MBA at Harvard. At Stanford, I was editor of the Chaparral, a rather scurrilous humor magazine. I’ve been a media geek since the early eighties with Petersen Publishing, LA Times, Dr. Dobb’s Journal, the San Jose Mercury News, and CNET. I live in Montara with my wife Cheri; kids Alex, Victoria, and Julia; a big yellow dog named Fireball; and a cat named Felix. |
