Pacifica DUI checkpoint, Aug 30 11:29am, Benjamin Grant — “Why is it okay that I am detained from lawful and private activities just because there MIGHT be a drunk driver on the road” Consider that driving on a public road is probably not regarded by law and enforcement as a private activity. Pacifica DUI checkpoint, Aug 28 1:59am, marty rademaker — I want to start by saying DUI checkpoints are one more example of the government overstepping their authority. African Hybrid Cat (Savannah) Roaming in Montara, Aug 24 10:59am, Brigitte Cowell — Savannahs are not recommended as indoor/outdoor pets at all! Save The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Aug 21 8:56pm, Carl May — If the article gets it right, the disaster to the local area and the coastal trail concept remain undiminished. Save The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Aug 20 4:40pm, Carl May — Got a reference to that report that we can all see, Kevin? Save The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Aug 18 9:08pm, Kevin J. Save The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Aug 18 6:04pm, Carl May — As with the proposed road through the reserve, pavement on the slope down to the beach is entirely unnecessary. Save The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Aug 16 12:42pm, Lisa Ketcham — I’m a bit confused between the lengthy discussion in the FMR Master Plan about the degradation of the reef from overuse, the need to restrict use, and this new beach access plan which is basically a short but wide asphalt boulevard to the reef ...

16.5' wide asphalt trail planned for the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Aug 7 5:32pm, Carl May — A “wide paved trail” of this design is not a trail. It is a road. If you can drive a vehicle on it, it is not a trail. If it is built with heavy equipment, it is not a trail. If it wipes out what users want to get close to, it is not a ...

Read more...I want to start by saying that I think DUI checkpoints are great. They remove dangerous elements from our roadways. What I didn’t like today was being asked to show my drivers license at one tonight.
Under normal circumstances if I commit an infraction and get pulled over I fully understand why I would have to show my papers to an officer in the course of being ticketed. Tonight I was asked to show my papers just because I was on the road. It irked me. I wanted to know if this was legal and

In the past month my housecat has been severely sliced up twice. I wondered if a bobcat and he now had overlapping territories. Then yesterday afternoon I found this hybrid cat, (I believe it is a Savannah cat which is a hybrid between a Serval and a housecat) just outside my front door.
The cat has a blue collar with a bell attached. No normal cat could stand a chance against him. Triple check your chicken enclosures and do not leave windows open. I read in Coastsider someone in
