Apologies here the site:

Can be a bit cryptic at times, but you see SO, HMB PD, CHP, and CalTrans inter-communication.

By the way, it was at the very very top of the Slide. I hope the person is ok. There was another gentlemen in a sling looking shaken up, but ok. The other, they were preparing the cables, lift and equipment.

Rescued, 2 Missing Over Devil’s Slide Cliff
PACIFICA (CBS 5 / BCN) ― One person was rescued and two others remained missing Monday afternoon near Highway 1 at Devil’s Slide, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department.

Three companions apparently made their way down to the beach just before 3 p.m. while looking for a place to sleep near the north end of the slide, according to Lt. Marc Alcantara.

Robert Harrington, a 22-year-old male from Oregon climbed up the slide after his companion Kristen Roach, 32, and another person, a Hispanic male, got stuck on the hillside, Alcantara said.

Harrington summoned a passing vehicle, complained of a shoulder injury, and was taken to County General Hospital.

Rescue crews were on the scene attempting to locate the two other individuals Monday afternoon.

Officials were advising motorists to use other routes when necessary.

I heard it was two people who’d climbed down the cliff to a “beach?” This what was reported on NPR traffic.  Turns out, once down “there,” and I know of know shoreline down there, they couldn’t get back up, so needed to be rescued?  Eh?

For the love of Pete.

Anyway, 84 was lovely, and I went from steamed to mellow, albeit in an hour.

I saw the third gentlemen, and I certainly didn’t think “transient”. Regardless, this was immense cost on services, and these folks should be billed, whether they can afford now or later. We bill people thousands of dollars for other uses of inappropriate behavior and the taxing on services, but only because it’s politically correct.

“Gentleman.” haha - you’re so polite!

Did you see them on this video?  They wanted to find a beach where they could be left alone to “build a bonfire,” and the guy says that he doesn’t regret anything.  I don’t think all the folks who lined up in Pacifica, waiting for the southbound route to open feel that way… =\ Nor everyone backed up on 92.

Whatever.  I’m just complaining.  Onward!  =]

Asked if he had any regrets, he said, “well, life’s a learning experience … I probably won’t do the same, but I don’t really regret anything.”

Shocker. Well, lad, once you do start contributing vs drawing off of services… we hope to… nevermind.
