Reece Computers is offering free computer classes in October and November. The classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reece’s retail office in Shoreline Station. The classes cover introduction to computer skills, Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

10/21: Introduction to the Personal Computer: Learn about the “guts” of the computer. Reece will cover the internal and external components, how they work together, and what they do – giving students the ability to troubleshoot their own computers.
10/28: Introduction to Windows Vista: Learn the basics of computer operating systems with an emphasis on Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows Vista.
11/4: Introduction to Microsoft Office 2007 & Outlook 2007: Learn how to best use the various programs so they seamlessly work together and make your computing life easy. Organize your email, calendar, contacts and task bar so you can quickly find what you need and stay on top of things.
11/11: Introduction to Microsoft Word 2007: Learn to format and create professional looking documents. Use automated features that let you easily add headers, footers, and create templates that can be re-used and save you time.
11/18: Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2007: Learn how to build a spreadsheet, use formulas and functions. Build graphs, navigate around the office ribbon, and use data entry quick tips.
11/25: Introduction to Microsoft Powerpoint 2007: Use Powerpoint to create impressive presentations. Learn about graphic features, how to add animations and set up a slide show for others.

Terri Reece has 21 years of teaching experience in addition to her years as an executive at HP, Oracle, and Nestle’ USA, and explains concepts in a way that makes it easy for students of any level to quickly grasp and understand computing skills.
