How to get your story on Coastsider

By on Fri, April 11, 2014

Do you have an upcoming event, letter to the editor, or crazy idea you want to share with the community?

Anybody can post a story to Coastsider. We’ve made it easier than ever, and I’ll tell you how to do it.

You can post your story using the “Post a Letter” link at the top of every page. Just enter your story, and add some pictures. We love pictures, especially when they’re big & splashy, but they’re not required.

You have to be a member of Coastsider to post, and you will be prompted to join (for free) if you’re not. All posters must use their real names. That keeps things neighborly and wards off trolls.

We recommend you submit events at least a week in advance to insure they’ll run in time and reach the broadest audience.  Coastsider reaches thousands of Coastside community members.

Announcements should be for non-commercial events of general interest to run on the home page. If your announcement is commercial or it’s super-specialized, it can still run on the Letters page, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter feed.

If you have any questions or problems with your account, please email me at [email protected].
