Poisoning Gophers kills Owls, Hawks

With a major decline in the Native Red Fox and Coyotes, gophers have been running amuck.

People have placing poisoned bait out for gophers without even considering that Owls and Hawks eat gophers and are also being killed in this process.

There are other ways of deterring gophers - cayene pepper, fish emulsion. These will not kill gophers - yet we need to preserve the little wildlife that we have left.

Trap if need be, but please, do not poison.
