They hosted a fabulous open house on October 2. Lots of free food, wine and Pisco sours and Pisco punchs. Much of the food is authentic Peruvian as are the delicious Piscos. You can stop in and pick up a menu. A broad variety of offerings-all mouth-watering and the prices are very reasonable. I haven’t been in for a meal yet but based on their generosity at the open-house, the friendliness of the staff and management, I have no doubt it will be a great experience. You won’t believe how they’ve changed the building - check out the photos on the website - such an improvement! 650.728.1600 I hope all we Montarans especially will support them - it’s such a relief to not see an empty building there.

Looks like the early reviews on Yelp are quite favorable towards the food (service kinks - not so much.) Fortunately those types of problems can be ironed out with a little time and attention. Will be trying it out soon.

I have posted this before but it seems that some people still might be interested. This is my review from the ‘soft’ opening night at La Costanera before the official Grand Opening night. I still stand by my initial impressions of good food etc and agree that the service has had some major hiccups, but as David points out they can be ironed out in time as the staff settle in to a routine.
Here is my review from my blog: http://www.blog.montaralife.com/?p=206
