Please stop by the Cool Coastside Cities Table and hear the presentation of Julio Magalhaes, Global Warming Program Coordinator of the Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club, to learn what we can all do at the local level to combat Global Warming.

Julio, a truly inspiring speaker will be at the Coastside Eco-Energy Expo on September 15 at Half Moon Bay High School.  Sept 15 is the “Day of Action” for the Sierra Club’s Cool Cities/Counties Campaign.

Our local “Day of Action” event, the Expo, will run from 11 am to 3 pm, after which you may wish to proceed on the self-guided solar home tour.

The Expo will feature over twenty vendors of photovoltaic panels, energy and water saving products and green building materials, as well as a plug-in hybrid Prius.

Over ten non-profit groups will be there.

The event is free to the public, but if you decide to have lunch with us, and we hope you do, your food purchase will support vendors of local and organic foods.  Some of the proceeds will even go to support our schools’ lunch and breakfast program.

For more information you can log on to http://www.eco-energy-expo.org.

Hope to see you there.

Sofia Freer and your Coastside Cool Cities Team
