My friend Michelle has happy chickens running around in her yard (she collects the eggs). She has eggs for sale and they are incredible when they are from home grown, chickens-in-the-yard. She will sell them to you for $4.00 a dozen and her number is 650.619.2176. I get eggs from her all the time, and the shells are incredibly thick and the yolks are a rich, deep orange.
TURNS OUT: They don’t lay when it’s cold. Check with her in March 2009. They should be laying then.
