Great House to Share
in Frenchman’s Creek, HMB

2 bedrooms, or 1 bedroom & office, library or meditation room
available June 1

peaceful, beautiful, 3 minute walk through Sweetwood Forest to beach
a quiet sanctuary to sooth the soul
$900-$1100 includes utilities & full use of common areas

I am an interior designer and film curator with a great house to share with the right person.

Beautifully furnished communal areas include a large living room with cathedral ceiling and fireplace as well as a formal dining room overlooking the tropically landscaped yard. The kitchen opens into a breakfast area and family room with sliding glass doors to a richly landscaped yard. An outdoor fire pit is a great place for summer evenings and stargazing.

Walk through the back garden gate and you are 40 yards away from Sweetwood Forest, a state park. A three minute walk through the forest puts you on the coastal trail and the blufftops at Venice Beach.

The house is located on a quiet cul de sac in Frenchman’s Creek, HMB - a great neighborhood for walks and bike riding. A five minute walk through the neighborhood takes you to the city park that runs along Frenchman’s Creek, a beautiful place for quiet contemplation.

Two rooms are available. One large bedroom has a window overlooking gorgeous landscaping with flowering trees and plants. The smaller bedroom also overlooks the garden and is currently used as an office. The two rooms make a nice suite with a brand new private bath with jacuzzi. The rooms are available separately or as a suite. Large room $1100; small room $900; includes all utilities and full use of common areas.

This is a quiet sanctuary which will soothe the soul and replenish the spirit after a long days work.
Available June 1st.
This is a non-smoking environment.

Hi Reba,

Your quiet retreat sounds perfect to me.  I actually saw the listing a few days ago, and tried to respond then, only to have my online registration link never arrive.

My name is Paul, I’m a very young 50 (nobody believes me when I tell them my age).  I’m quiet, considerate, easy to get along with, and usually display a wicked sense of humor when least suspected.

I work as an independent computer consultant, specializing in Macintosh for creative output, as well as developing low- or no-cost open source solutions (Linux, FreeBSD) on things like email and web servers, firewalls, and networking.

My true passion is my photography, mostly nature and travel-based, but really, all kinds of stuff. I develop my own black and white film and photos, as well as performing color correction from the enlarger with my color prints.

I’m currently working on getting certified in a lot of the stuff mentioned above, so I study a lot, and am on the web quite a bit as well.

I’m a good person to have around—I grew up in a large family so I know how to share as well as how to give people a lot of space.  I’m no monk, but I do like time to myself, peace and quiet, a chance to regenerate after periods of intense work or play.

I spend a lot of time biking down in your area, I love the beach, as well as Crystal Springs.

I could go on and on, and bore you to tears, but would really like to meet you and see if we may be a good match.

Thanks very much,
Paul
