The City of Half Moon Bay is proud to announce the grand opening of Oak Avenue Park on Saturday, April 28 at 10 am. City officials will lead the ribbon cutting ceremony. Refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony. Event planners are anticipating a strong turnout and encourage the public to walk to the event. If people need to drive to the park they are encouraged to park in the Park and Ride lot behind Safeway and walk to the grand opening by crossing the Pilarcitos Bridge. The park is located at the foot of Pilarcitos Bridge at the corner of Pilarcitos and Oak Avenues.
This project was funded by a River Parkways Grant and the City of Half Moon Bay. This 1.29 acre park includes open space, picnic tables, a state of the art play structure for young ones and interpretive signs highlighting Pilarcitos Creek watershed.
