Just because you live in a state that neither candidate really cares about (one doesn’t bother cause it’s a win, the other doesn’t care because it’s a lost), doesn’t mean you can’t make a difference.

For those interested, you can help the McCain-Palin campaign win by taking 30 minutes out of your evening to make 20 calls for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

The Obama-Biden campaign has hired hundreds of paid staff and is spending millions of dollars bombarding undecided voters with advertisements filled with negative, misleading and false information about John McCain and Governor Palin, some call it “buying an election” given the money raised. By reaching out to undecided voters, one by one, you are taking a step outside of your own state that may be out of touch with half the country it seems.

Dan, I’m guessing you haven’t been reading Coastsider much the last, um, 3 years. This site is 99.99999999999999999999% left leaning. If anything, my post is a drop of “water from the other side” in an “ocean of bias” here on Coastsider.

Who’s left-leaning?

The problem is that the Republican party has moved so far to the right that anybody who believes in the Bill of Rights, sound economic policy, measured foreign policy, the rule of law, conservation, or protection of the weak from predation by the powerful has no choice but to vote for the Democrats.

All of those are values that the Republican party supported not so long ago. I for one would welcome real competition on these issues from the Republicans.
