To help spread the health and wellness benefits of yoga, Joy of Being at 2385-A San Carlos Street off Highway 1 in Moss Beach is hosting an afternoon of free yoga workshops on Saturday, January 24 from 12-4 p.m. as part of Yoga Day USA, the national celebration of yoga.
Joy of Being, which opened last fall to great fanfare, is a beautifully designed, spiritual space that has been lovingly remodeled using all green materials. Such well-known and respected teachers as Klaus Lehrach, Jessica Archer, and Bess Corey teach weekly yoga classes at the studio.
At the free, drop-in yoga event, participants can expect:
? Beginning at noon, an introduction to the basics of yoga, including yogic philosophy, the history of yoga and health/wellness benefits.
? Two workshops with an emphasis on therapeutic, restorative and strength building poses offering a preview of the types of yoga offered at Joy of Being.
? An opportunity to explore and enjoy a healing, supportive space that’s brand new to the coast.
