Carol Wexler, a local dog sitter/walker is the contact for this.  Her number is 712-9962.

She relates that today a caring Nurse came to the dog park with two dogs.  She’s looking for a home for the dogs or, at the very least, a place where the dogs could stay while she searches for a home.  Their owner, who loves them dearly, is in the final stages of an illness and can no longer care for them.  He’s trying desperately not to have to turn them over to the Humane Society.

They are about 8-10 years old but seem to be in good health and good shape. Both are female and are mother-daughter. They weigh about 65 pounds each.  One looks like a cattle dog cross (all red), named Patches and she is mother to the other who looks like a Rottweiler cross (mostly black with a little tan) and her name is Lola.  Both have short hair and seem to get along with all the dogs at the park.

They both have very sweet temperments. A friend who knows these dogs says “I would say hi to them every morning, an they would get all wiggly and come over to say hello!  They ae so cute!”

Contact Carol if you can help out.
