Aren’t there any moving companies this side of the hill who will move a residence from one Coastside location to another Coastside location?

If I use a moving company from over the hill and/or from San Francisco, they want to tack on all kinds of “distance” charges for having to drive over here.

C’mon, isn’t there anyone who provides local moving services?

Thanks!

All right.  I’m forced to talk to myself and answer my question:  There is no coastside moving service, which leads me to assume that once one moves coastside, they never ever leave their abode, or, they pay the extra cost, which I will now do.

There is a business opportunity here, for any of you enterprising individuals:  Get a 17’ truck, hire 2 or 3 guys who will move anything:  junk, a small house of furniture, and even, appliance delivery.  Then place your ad with links to good Yelp reviews.  :)

I am going to use Bob Morowitz at 726-9248 for a local move.  I got him out of the HMB Review.

When I moved a couple of years ago from one part of HMB to another, I had to hire a moving company from over the hill. A near disaster: truck broke down on 92 and the replacement was hours late and didn’t come with enough muscle, so the job took a long time. I understand why people stay put or have a garage sale and then rent UHaul!
