I received the following county alert, which is kind of ambiguous, but worth noting:

On 06-01-09 at about 6:30 pm, a Half Moon Bay resident reported seeing a possible mountain lion on the hillside east of Monta Vista Lane in Half Moon Bay.  The lion was reportedly chasing cattle that were in the area.  The Rancher who was on site did not see a cat and believes they may have mistaken one of his calves as a lion.
