This was a light week for the County Sheriff on the Midcoast. The Sheriff’s reports says there were “Lots of calls, not many reports generated.” A man was struck by a car and his dog killed in Montara, and some things were stolen from an unlocked car.

Montara Blvd, Montara: Deputies were dispatched to a report of a subject struck by a vehicle. They contacted the subject who was standing over a dog that had been struck as well. The subject was only concerned for his dog which had expired from the injuries it had suffered. He was unable to recall the day, date or time of day. He was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.

Deputies made a traffic stop on a subject known to have an expired license. The subject confirmed that his license was expired. His vehicle was towed and he was issued a citation to appear in court.

Columbia Ave / Princeton Ave, Princeton
Deputies made a traffic stop and asked the driver for his driver’s license. He told them that it was suspended for not paying child support. A routine check through county communications revealed three outstanding warrants for his arrest. They were confirmed and the subject was arrested and taken to the county jail.

On 01/21/2011 at approximately 1200 hours to 01/26/2011 at approximately 1600 hours, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole property.
