Kathryn, the speaker you are referring to is Brady Logan from Montara. And we really need to thank Merideth Lamont from Clipper Ridge who got our attention and did most of the research on this. And there were others who also contributed from the Northern Coastal Communities Association who have been working hard to keep the impacts of Rancho Corral de Tierra from negatively impacting the MidCoast residents. Is this just another way of trying to make New Jersey look better by filming parts of their episodes on California's beautiful coast. I don't want to pick on NJ too much right now because of all the hurricane Irene damage they are suffering from, but this was probably planned long before that.

Thanks Vince for alerting the community to the CFPD Board's Special Meeting this week. One always has to be suspicious when meetings are not televised and the public is not given adequate notice. After reading in the HMB Review this week about the consolidation of the coastside's water and sewer districts and the spin that it will make everything better, one needs to ask the question, "What can go wrong"? Thanks. I knew that but my brain short circuited and I concatenated Coral Reef Ave with Clipper Ridge and didn't catch it. And the extra 'r' was just And, yes it is short notice but I sent out three dates (2/21, 2/25 and 2/28) to those people who had already sent me their email addresses because I can only get the room on Monday or Friday. Of those who responded 2/21 was the favorite. I guess people want to get moving on this and there will be more meetings in the future. I look forward to your participation.

Director McShane, I wish I had heard before hand that CFPD was going to discuss safety plans for the Maverick last Friday. Was it opened to the public? Is there a published plan that one could review? Is it on the web (I hope)? I, for one, was disappointed that the Thursday meeting was cancelled and it has been almost a year without the publics questions being addressed in an open forum.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It always amazes me how CalTran has to cut such a wide swath through the natural terrain. But since this is already done maybe they can use it as a parking lot for the GGNRA Rancho Corral de Tierra north portal access instead of going through the residential neighborhood of Montara by Farralone Elementary School!

First, let me say that the Maverick Surf Contest is a unique asset to our coastal community and I would like to see it continue. But it needs to be better organized for the safety and convenience of both the local residents and coast side visitors. Last year was a complete disaster and this meeting needs to present a plan for the anticipated crowds that show up. Barry you are not the first one to bring up the fairness of basing the charge on the number of people per household. So stating the reason for the proposed new rate tiers is to help promote conservation seems a little absurd. People can conserve by limiting their individual consumption but the metrics are currently based only on the connection which then makes it impossible to see who is conserving and who is not (this by the way answers your question "is it possible" to determine per person usage…
