Coastside author June Morrall, 1947 - 2010

January 06, 2010
I met June in 1974 and we spent time together frequently over the next 6 years. She was a very good friend. I hadn't seen her in at least 10 years when I saw her at Barry and Cheri's holiday party in 2008. We had a great conversation. I saw her again on December 19 during this year's celebration at the Parrs' house. She invited me to visit her and I did. She showed me around her beautiful yard, introduced me to her cat and wished me success in my race for supervisor, offering to host a garden party…

County holding green building workshop in El Granada, Tuesday

June 26, 2009

POST is buying Wavecrest

What this community has been able to achieve over the past 15 years is nothing short of heroic. Thanks to everyone who has kept the "participation" in our participatory democracy and persevered, often in the face of challenges that seemed unsurmountable. The Coastside and all who love it have much to celebrate.

Please vote in Coastsider’s presidential poll

July 02, 2007
Thanks for posting the Presidential Poll, Barry. It is encouraging to see Barack Obama in the lead. I am organizing Coastside residents to volunteer locally for Obama. I invite anyone who wants to have some fun and do community outreach over the summer to contact me. It's an exciting campaign and the people who support Barack are a lively and engaging group. Thanks so much, April Vargas

June 10, 2006
I submitted the following email on behalf of Committee for Green Foothills to Lisa Grote (San Mateo County Planning Department) on June 5. Hi Lisa: Unfortunately, neither I nor Lennie Roberts will be able to attend tonight's hearing. I did not receive a notice and only heard about it through a colleague in the past few days. This is a brief summary of Committee for Green Foothills' concerns about this project. We will submit a more detailed letter when Lennie returns at the end of June. 1. Any review…
