Neighbor Bruce, When we first moved here over 10 years ago and I recall never seeing any squirrels on the coast. Then I started seeing a few in the back parts of Montara. But lately I have seen them closer to main st.

At least it is a solid sign and not cardboard attached to poles with tape like the previous signs.

On two occasions I have clearly seen a ferret like animal run across highway 1. Once near Clipper Ridge and recently by Surfer's beach. Both animals looked to me to be Long Tailed weasels. http://www.flickr.com/photos/bobcatweather/2362008453/ But I am not a wildlife expert by any means.

The amount of money that could be made by the government if it were legalized and taxed is staggering. Too bad most people are too closed minded about this beneficial plant.
