Former HMB Review editor David Gorn applies for open City Council seat

16 years on the Council for Patridge pretty much makes her a career politician. Like in Washington, HMB needs term limits to make sure that elected officials do not become beholden to special interests, in this case: big developers. I would love to see a list of all the major housing developments that were approved by the City Council during Patridge's tenure.

"If development of the non-wetlands could not take place but for the construction of ponds in the wetlands, a case can be made for the Corps having jurisdiction over the entire property." My take on the "but for" This is a major stretch. Development CAN take place on the non-wetlands without the need for construction of ponds in the wetlands. The developer only needs to modify the project (make it smaller) to accomodate the frogs and snakes. The developer obviously does not wish to do this, hence…

Can anybody comment on the migration habits of the RLF? Given that it was found near the drainage ditch and connected parts of that same ditch run very close to the proposed housing development, what are the chances of finding RLF on other areas of the site?
