Thanks to all of you for these great posts. I am relieved that I didn't send my son to school on the coastside. I went to public school in NY (Long Island) and it was fabulous. Caltrans puts Hwy 1 & 92 intersection camera online

Linda C - I have heard similar rumors. Mostly that it is unreparable. I don't think anyone wants to go public so they will continue doing whatever they can do with the time up there and report back all the progress regularly. Perhaps adding 2nd and 3rd shifts to the tunnel project would help. That might be a better use of resources. Or outsource it. Do something to speed it up. The commutes this week were awful for us. We still can't seem to find the right time to come and go!

Landslide cuts communication to the Coastside

Don't feel so bad...on my 4th call to Comcast yesterday (obviously after my cell phone started working) for an estimated time of repair, I was told "This was a scheduled outage for some scheduled overnight update and maintenance." They also told me not to bother going to other areas of San Mateo since the Internet was down on the entire Peninsula - meaning - even over the hill. I can't believe I pay over $40 a month for this level of poor service.
