Letter: “Tip a Cop” benefits Special olympics, Wednesday

The event is now in it's 11 year. This is a fundraising event for Special Olympics. We have raised over $90,000 in the last 10 years. All of this money goes directly to Special Olympics to assist local coastside Special Olympics athletes. Officers wait on tables, clean up tables and talk with everyone. Patrons then leave "tips" in envelopes provided at each table. There is a large silent auction which is located just outside in 4 tents. Local merchants donate items for the auction. If you haven't…
