Letter: Abundant volunteer opportunities

For many of us, fall includes the spirit of back to School. There’s shopping for school clothes, backpacks and books. After all the lunches have been packed and the traffic clears a bit, perhaps there’s some time to spare. There are an abundance of volunteer opportunities at Senior Coastsiders this fall, ranging from Special Events (including help with the Pumpkin Run and Festival booth), shopping for homebound seniors, helping out in the thrift store, delivering Meals on Wheels, as well as packaging and serving hot meals. We are also looking for volunteers to teach classes, provide minor home repair and do some gardening for seniors and individuals with disabilities. For more information, call (650) 726-9056.
