Half Moon Bay, California—On Saturday, November 14, 2009, Blue Blanket Improv will present a check for $500 to Coastside high school student Audrey Nassar. The monetary award is part of the Blue Blanket Improv Performing Arts Program, which comprises both a monetary award and a three-month internship with the group.

A senior at Half Moon Bay High School, Nassar is the second young Coastsider to receive the Blue Blanket scholarship, joining "Jumping" Jarred Gibbs, who was the inaugural recipient in 2008. Nassar is free to use the scholarship money to further her interest in the performing arts in any way she chooses, from acting workshops to head shots to college tuition.

Blue Blanket Improv created the scholarship program in 2008 as a way to further its mission of supporting the performing arts on the Coastside. Any current high school student living or attending school on the Coastside is eligible to apply.
