Bob Sheppard Quartet, Sunday at the Bach

Fine mainstream jazz led by LA’s first-call tenor player. Highly-respected first-call LA tenor player best known to jazz fans for his productive associations with Freddie Hubbard, Billy Childs, Chick Corea and the Akiyoshi/Tabackin Big Band, has also brought his diverse talents to more recent performances with James Taylor, Natalie Cole and Queen Latifah and most notably with the legendary Joni Mitchell on her 2007 Grammy-winning, Shine.  He will be leading his quartet through his latest CD release, Close Your Eyes, his debut CD for the BFM Jazz label.
