Body found below Devil’s Slide roadway

The Chronicle is reporting that a body has been found below the roadway on Devil’s Slide. Sheriff’s vehicles still at the site (near Grey Whale Cove) as of 2:30 PM - road is open.

The person was discovered at about 11 a.m. at Gray Whale Cove, below state Highway 1 south of Pacifica.

The person’s identity has not been confirmed. But a car was found at the top of the cliff, and authorities believe it belonged to the victim, said acting San Mateo County sheriff’s Lt. Wes Matsuura.
