The Coastside Children’s Programs (CCP) will be teaming up with Flavor restaurant in a “Dine for CCP” event to support high quality and affordable child care for the Coastside.  Flavor will be donating 20% of the gross proceeds for the night of May 23, 2011for dinner, excluding alcoholic beverages.

In addition to continually finding ways to keep tuition low for families in our community, CCP also provides subsidies to over 50 low-income families along the coast so that parents can afford a safe and quality environment for their children while they work.  Additionally, CCP strives for enriching experiences – not just child care – such as character development, environmental sciences, healthy habits, and much more for our 3 after school programs and 2 preschools.

We believe that a safe and nurturing child care setting can help the parent to focus on work and the many other stressors that affect a financially struggling family’s life.  Our families agree:

Struggling to come up with child care by a piecemeal plan of grandma, cutting work hours, and various babysitters, the Smith (name changed for confidentiality) family was ecstatic when CCP was able to offer a preschool space.  The child is excited that instead of going to a babysitter there is now a “big kid school” to attend. Mom and Dad expressed to us their relief in having consistency of care in a safe place and the opportunity for a pre-kindergarten experience.

CCP will also be drawing their annual Spring Raffle at the May 23, 2011 dinner event.  Raffle tickets are $20 each and three prizes will be awarded (the grand prize valued at $1,500 for a vacation package).

About Coastside Children’s Programs:

Coastside Children’s Programs, a nonprofit agency, has been serving children and families from diverse multicultural and socio-economic backgrounds since 1975. CCP’s mission is to provide high quality care and learning skill development for Coastside children.
