Driver in Highway 1 fatality pleads innocent

The driver of the truck that killed a UC Santa Cruz student Saturday night on Highway 1 south of Tunita Creek Road has pleaded innocent of to the charges, which included driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance, reports the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

The Highway Patrol says that the driver, Mark Henderson, 47, fled the scene of the accident.
