The Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary and Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association are holding a series of lectures and trips highlighting the Sanctuary from April through June. The series begins with a lecture on life in the intertidal zone on April 12 at the Point Montara LIghthouse. and includes a tidepool trip at the Fitzgerald Marine Preserve, Kayaking at Tomales Bay Estuary, and a day on the sanctuary aboard the Fulmar Reaserch Vessel.

KAYAKING TOMALES BAY COASTAL ESTUARY
With Pt. Reyes Outdoors
This wildlife adventure launches from Nicks Cove at
the northern end of Tomales Bay. While paddling across the bay
explore the coastline looking for shorebirds, jellies, harbor seals, bat rays and other wildlife.
$55 per person; must be at least 10years old and accompanied by adult; First time and experienced kayakers are welcome.

A DAY ON THE SANCTUARY
ABOARD THE FULMAR RESEARCH VESSEL
Join GFNMS research team aboard the new 65’ vessel Fulmar for a trip out to the Farallones Islands. You will have a unique opportunity to observe marine scientists collect data, as well as sea birds and marine mammals out at sea. Sanctuary Naturalists will help identify wildlife.
$25 program fee per person. Must be at least 16 years old. Space is limited.
