German saxophone player looking for other Coastside musicians

Hi, there! My name is Katharina. I’m from Germany and I’m going to live in San Mateo County (Half Moon Bay) for the next six months.

Since one of my favourite hobbies has been playing the saxophone (alto) for over seven years, I’m looking for people in this area who also play a (jazz-) instrument and who would like to join me in order to play together from time to time.

If there are any people, who like to go to jazz clubs or concerts, I’m looking forward to get some hints about interesting places.
Besides, I also like swimming (I’m member of a live-saving organisation in Germany)- maybe there’s a swim group / livesafers, who I could join for the during of may stay…?!
