Domestic violence, a window at Amesport Landing is broken by vandals, a large, loud party is dispersed with a little help from the police, some kids are arrested for possession of nitrous oxide canisters. And more. Lots and lots more.  We promise not to wait so long between blotters next time.

0944 06/01 1732 HMBPD 10-99O Outside Agency Assist- HMB officers received a cross report from the SM County Sheriff’s office regarding an arrest Deputies made on a subject under the influence of a controlled substance.   

0943   07/06 0703-0718 Main St 23152(A)VC 23152(B)VC Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for making an unsafe lane change, and found the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.  The driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and transported to First Chance.  Male Age 27 Of San Jose

0942 07/05 Arnold Way 273.5 PC   Officer dispatched to report of domestic violence.  The female victim told police she had been in an altercation with her husband, who she stated "chased" her and "slammed" the door on her, causing minor injuries to her hand and leg.  The man was arrested on charges of domestic battery, and transported to SM County Jail.  Male Age 48 Of HMB0906   06/30 0201   Alameda Ave   10-99I   Officer dispatched to investigate report of possible fireworks or shots fired.  Police searched the area but did not locate any suspicious persons.

0934 07/04-07/051600-0900 Amesport Landing 594(A)(1)PC   Officer dispatched to report of vandalism when unknown suspect(s) broke a second story window.  It did not appear that the suspects attempted to make entry to the home. 

0933 07/04-07/052030-0800 Poplar St 10-99I   Officer dispatched to vandalism at a residence when the RP found a branch had been torn off a tree in her backyard.   

0932   07/04-07/052340-0145 Fourth Ave 10-99I   Officers dispatched to report of disturbance and found a large party at a residence, with guests numbering well over 100.  The homeowner was issued a loud party notice and the homeowner advised he would have his guests disperse.  Police returned two subsequent times to assist with the dispersal, as physical altercations had been reported between party goers, most of whom had been drinking alcoholic beverages. 


0922 07/02 2030 NB SR1 @ Casa Del Mar 381B PC11364 HS12500(A)VC An off duty officer reported a suspected drunk driver swerving over fog lines and double yellow lines.  The officer followed the vehicle and on duty officers stopped the male juvenile driver and his 4 juvenile passengers.  The 17 year-old driver was found to be unlicensed, and was in possession of a nitrous oxide canister in his pants pocket.  The juvenile was determined not to be under the influence of the drug while he was driving, however.  One of the passengers was found in possession of a cylinder commonly used to open nitrous oxide canisters.  Officers found numerous nitrous oxide canisters in the vehicle, two of which were open.  All five juveniles were charged with possession of nitrous oxide.  Additionally the driver was charged with driving without a license and one of the juvenile passengers with possession of drug paraphernalia.  All of the juveniles were released to their parents.  HMJ Age 17 Of Moss Beach WMJ Age 16 Of Montara WMJ Age 15 Of HMB WFJ Age 15 Of HMB WMJ Age 16 Of El Granada0899   06/29 0748   SR92 @ Main   11-82   Traffic collision-property damage only    

0921 07/021930-2135 San Mateo Rd 10-99I   Officer dispatched to report of stolen vehicle that was determined to be unfounded when the vehicle was located in the RP’s garage.  The vehicle had been driven there by a friend who had permission to drive the vehicle.

0915 06/29 2055 Alsace Lorraine 10-65   Officer took report from the father of a possible runaway juvenile.  The juvenile was contacted by phone and told police she had told her mother she was going camping in Sacramento and that she did intend to return home the next day. 

0914 06/30 2055 Golden Gate Ave 594(A)(1)PC   Officer dispatched to report of vandalism to a residence when unknown suspects spray-painted graffiti on the side of a house.  Officers canvassed the area but no neighbors saw or heard anything unusual. 

0913 07/01 0019 SR1 @ Filbert 23152(A)VC   Officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and performed traffic stop.  The driver appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests.  He was arrested and transported to First Chance. Male Age 24 Of Antioch

0912 06/30 1630 Main St 10-99I   Officers were dispatched to report of a suspicious box left at the steps of the fire station.  The box contained a large amount of fireworks that were taken for destruction by the SM County Bomb Squad. 

0911 06/30 1410 Kelly @ Main 9.12.040   Officers on patrol observed a subject drinking alcohol in a city park.  The man was cited for open container in public, and released on his promise to appear in court.  Male Age 36

0910 06/24 1237 San Mateo Rd 10-99I A citizen came to the station and requested a report for a collision that occurred in the Albertson’s shopping center parking lot several days prior.  The involved parties had exchanged information at the scene and none claimed to be injured at that time.  The report was taken for information only. 

0909 06/30 Creekside Dr 10-99I   Officer dispatched to meet a citizen who reported his Social Security number was being used by an unknown subject in another county.  The RP stated his Social Security card had been stolen five years ago.  The man just had the card replaced at the social security office, and was advised to file a police report. 

0908 06/300130-0430 Pilarcitos Ave 10-99I   Officer was dispatched to investigate a suspicious circumstance when the RP told police she parked her vehicle to go to the beach with friends, and when she returned she found the air had been let out of a tire and feces smeared on the door handles of her vehicle.  The RP said she had gotten into a verbal altercation with three males when she and her group of friends parked their vehicles to go to the beach. 

0907 06/300130-0430 Pilarcitos Ave 594(A)(1) PC   Officers were dispatched to report of vandalism to a vehicle, when the RP found feces had been smeared on his parked vehicle and a tire slashed.  The victim told police he had parked his vehicle to walk to the beach with friends, and had a verbal altercation with three other males in the area that appeared to have been intoxicated.  Police checked the area but did not find any suspects.

0904 06/29 2055 Alsace Lorraine 242 PC594(A)(2) PC Officer dispatched to report of battery when the RP’s teenage daughter’s male friend and the RP engaged in a physical altercation.  The suspect also threw a rock at the victim’s parked vehicle.  The victim did not wish to seek prosecution but wanted the incident documented.

0886 06/26 0500 First Ave 243(E) PC273.6(A) PC Officer responded to report of violation of a restraining order.  An argument ensued between an estranged couple during which the man reportedly pushed the female against the wall.  The female left the house and called police.  The man had left the residence and police were unable to locate him.  The case will be forwarded to the DA for prosecution.

0884 06/25 1740 Purissima @ Miramontes 20002(A)(1)VC Hit and run property damage collision-report not complete   0871   06/22   Willow Ave   10-99O   Officers were dispatched to meet a citizen regarding a counterfeit cashier’s check an unknown suspect sent to the RP in an attempt to purchase a vehicle that had been advertised on the internet.  The check was sent from the United Kingdom in the amount of $20,000 to purchase a vehicle for $11,500.  The check sender requested the excess funds be sent back to him, which is a typical internet scam.

0835 06/04 0400 Higgins Purissima Rd 10-99O Half Moon Bay Police Officers assisted SM County Sheriff’s Office regarding an assault that occurred in the Sheriff’s jurisdiction.  The suspect, a HMB resident, was arrested on 06/05/06 by the Sheriff’s Deputies.

The victim pushed the female out of his camper in order to stop the attack. The female attacker called out to the victim. When he put his head out of the door, the female kicked the door. The officers arrived on scene and contacted the lone driver involved. The driver was found to be unlicensed and without proof of insurance. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested and transported to First Chance South. The RP said her vehicle was parked and secured for the evening. The following morning the RP noticed damage to her vehicle.

0790 06/03 1305 Eagle Terrace Dr.  243(E) PC   Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute between a husband and wife. The husband claimed the wife was damaging his property and the wife claimed that the husband had pushed her. The husband agreed to leave the residence for the night. The case will be forwarded to the SM County district attorney for review. 

0788 06/02 1400 Lewis Foster 488PC School administration contacted Half Moon Bay Police Department in regards to money missing from a student’s purse. School administration had interviewed the involved students. When officers arrived, a student admitted to taking the money from another student’s purse. 0778 06/01 1306 Poplar Beach 10-42 Medical call- Officers and paramedics were dispatched to a cliff rescue.  A 37 year-old male subject had fallen about 50 feet from the bluff top south of Poplar Beach.  The subject was conscious and responsive.  He was taken to Stanford Hospital for his injuries, complaining of back and arm pain. 

0777 05/231205-1215 HMBHS 10-99I   Officers were contacted regarding a traffic collision that occurred on 05/23/06 at the high school.  The RP said he was involved in a non-injury collision and exchanged information with the other party, but the other party now claims not to be at fault.  The report was taken for information only for this civil issue.

0737   05/23 1714     SR1 @ Main     11-81   Traffic collision-minor injury0738   05/23 1807     San Mateo Rd   10-415   Officer was dispatched to a traffic dispute.  The RP advised another driver followed her into a parking lot and stopped behind her, after the suspect driver reportedly believed the RP had violated his right of way.  The suspect told police he pulled behind her to get her license plate to report her driving to the police.  Police determined no crime had been committed and took the report for information only.

0735   05/23 1300     HMBHS   488 PC   Officer dispatched to report of the theft of candy from the student store at the high school.  Police interviewed the suspect student who admitted to stealing $5.25 worth of candy.  The student was arrested for the theft and suspended by school administration.  HMJ Age 15 Of HMB

0733   05/23 1216     Lewis Foster @ Main St. 12500(A)VC     Officer stopped a driver for making an illegal turn and found the driver to be unlicensed.  The 15 year-old juvenile was cited for driving without a license.  The juvenile reportedly did not have parental permission to take the car.  The girl was transported to the high school.  WFJ Age 15 Of Moss Beach
