0664 05/09 0815 Kelly Ave 12500(A)VC Officer on patrol was advised that a driver had traversed the cone pattern blocking the roadway, and performed a traffic stop. The driver was found to be driving without a license and was cited and released on his promise to appear in court. Male, Age 23, of HMB

0667 05/09 1826 SR1 @ Grand 10-99I Officers were contacted regarding a non-injury collision that occurred earlier in the day. The drivers exchanged information, but the RP wanted police documentation because he did not get the other driver’s phone number or address.

0684 05/04 Kelly Ave 594(A)(1)PC Officer was flagged down by a citizen who reported the vandalism to his parked vehicle that occurred on 05/04/06. The RP found a small dent on the hood of the vehicle that had not been there before he parked the vehicle.

0686 05/131050-1100 San Mateo Rd 487(A)PC Officers responded to the report of a stolen bicycle. The RP had left his bicycle unlocked outside of a HMB store, and when he returned it was missing. The bike was valued at $600.
0688 05/13 1630 San Mateo Rd 182(A)(1)PC488 PC Officer took report regarding a lost wallet. It was determined fraudulent use of a credit card from the wallet had occurred a few hours earlier. The victim was given identity theft prevention information.
0690 05/14 0730 N Cabrillo Hwy 488 PC Officer dispatched to the report of a man who obtained gas at a HMB gas station and drove away without paying. The suspect was described as 55-65 year old, with a gray long sleeve shirt and salt and pepper gray in his brown hair, driving a white truck with a blue stripe and a camper shell.

0693 12/01/05-05/09/06 N Cabrillo Hwy 460(A)PC Officer dispatched to report of theft from a residence that may have occurred over a period of several years. The RP is unaware of any potential suspects, however reported that in 2001 and 2002 several caretakers were in the home to care for an ill relative. Various property estimated at a total of $2,240 is missing from the home.

0697 05/16 1010 N Cabrillo Hwy 488 PC Officer met with a citizen regarding the theft of a registration sticker which was believed to have been stolen from a vehicle while parked at Strawflower Shopping Center.
0698 05/160730-0900 HMBHS 594(A)(1)PC Officer dispatched to the vandalism to a vehicle, when an unknown suspect placed gumdrops on the victim’s vehicle, using the gumdrops to spell out racial insults. The residue was washed off and no permanent damage was caused to the vehicle.
0699 05/16 1341 EB 92 @ Main O/W Misd14601.1(A)VC Officer conducted traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration. The driver was found to have a $5000 warrant out of San Mateo County and was driving on a suspended license. He was arrested and transported to SM County Jail. Male, Age 36, of HMB
0700 03/16 Troon Way 10-99I Officer met with a citizen who reported a relative took her knitting books from her living room, and wanted police to contact the woman about the knitting books. The report was taken for information only.
0701 04/220700-1500 Arnold Way 488 PC Officer dispatched to theft of two bicycles that were stolen from the rear yard of a residence several weeks earlier. The RP recognized one bicycle at another residence and believed it belonged to him. The bicycle was recovered and returned to the owner. The second bicycle is still missing.
0709 05/17 2100-0700 Myrtle St 10851(A)VC Officer dispatched to report of stolen vehicle. The RP stated his vehicle was taken without permission, and did not know who may have taken it. The vehicle was valued at $400.

0711 05/18 1127 3rd St Montara 11377(A)HS1203.211364 HS Officers were requested to conduct a probation search of a subject who failed to meet with his probation officer. Officers went to the subject’s residence, and found the subject not to be home, but were admitted to search the subject’s bedroom. Officers found narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the 26 year-old man’s room. The case will be forwarded to the DA and to adult probation for charges of probation violation and possession of controlled substance.
0712 05/18 1245 HMBHS 415.5(A)(3)PC148(A)(1)PC Officer dispatched to the high school regarding a disturbance. Several students caused a disturbance and were directed to the office. One of them refused to comply with school staff and repeatedly used profanities. The student then was verbally offensive and refused to comply with police officer’s directions. The juvenile was arrested for disturbing the school and obstructing an officer and released to his parent.

0715 05/19 0348 S. Cabrillo Hwy 488 PC Officers were dispatched to the report of a subject stealing gas from a motor vehicle. Officers located the subject and a red gas can and siphon hose were found by one victim’s vehicle. The man was placed under citizen’s arrest. The man admitted to taking gas from another victim’s vehicle a few days prior and admitted to choosing a different vehicle on this night. He was booked and released on his promise to appear in court. 0718 05/18 1210 HMBHS 601 WI School Rules-Officer dispatched to report of a student under the influence of alcohol at the high school. The girl denied drinking alcohol at school but admitted to drinking the night before. The report will be submitted to San Mateo County’s Diversion Program.
0719 05/19 1100 HMBHS 422.6 Officers were dispatched to the high school regarding a hate crime. One student struck another student because of his perceived sexual orientation. Neither student was injured. The suspect juvenile was detained for the crime and the case will be forwarded to the DA for prosecution. Male juvenile, Age 15, of HMB
0720 05/19 1200-1245 HMBHS 242 PC Officers were dispatched to the high school regarding a fight between two female students. One student attacked another student over an earlier problem, leaving the victim with a black eye. A 15 year-old female was detained and the case forwarded to the DA for prosecution. 0725 05/21 0221 Pilarcitos @ Pine 647(f)PC849(B)(2)PC Officers responded to a welfare check of a subject passed out in a vehicle with the passenger door open. The subject was determined to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was arrested for public intoxication and transported to First Chance. Male, Age 45, of HMB
0726 05/21 0100-0138 Myrtle St 23152(A)VC23152(B)VC12500(A) VC16028 VC Officer was dispatched to report of a possible drunk driver. The driver had been seen driving erratically and had collided with several fixed roadway barriers between Highways 101 and 92. The RP followed the vehicle into HMB and reported at one point the vehicle swerved into a guard rail, overcorrected and hit the opposite curb causing the vehicle to fly up into the air on the left side with only the right side wheels on the ground, and then continue on towards HMB. The RP followed the vehicle to a residence on Myrtle St, where HMB police arrived and contacted a subject leaning on the vehicle, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. There was evidence of recent damage to the vehicle. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence, without a license and with no proof of insurance, and transported to First Chance. Male, Age 20, of HMB
0727 05/21 0230-0300 Main St 488 PC10-99F Officer responded to the report of a found purse. The owner was located and said most of her items were still within the purse, with the exception of $38 in cash that was missing.
0728 05/15 1830 Grand Blvd 10-99I Officer was dispatched to report of ongoing neighbor dispute. The RP reported her neighbor’s seven year old child was attempting to gain entry into her backyard to retrieve a lost ball. The RP requested Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center contact both parties to help resolve their differences.
0729 05/19-05/210730-2100 Third Ave 460(A)PC Officer received a phone call from the victim of a theft, who reported she had left cash in her house before she left for vacation, and left the door unlocked for a relative to make entry. The relative was coming from out of town to house sit and did not have a house key. Upon his arrival the relative found the cash that was left in the house was missing, and called the homeowner to report the theft.
