Organic herb and vegetable grower Jacobs Farm / Del Cabo will host FARMFEST, a free celebration of the coast’s rich agricultural heritage and diversity. On Saturday, May 26, from 12-5 pm, FARMFEST will take place at Jacobs Farm / Del Cabo’s new venture FARMSTAND, in Pescadero. During this fun, informative afternoon, visitors can learn of the area’s agricultural history and future, while connecting directly with members of the local farming community.

Located in the historic Level Lea barn at 1743 Pescadero Road and surrounded by bucolic farmland, FARMFEST kicks off at noon with hands-on activities and a chance to enjoy fresh organic strawberries, locally roasted coffee and more from local purveyors. Kids and adults can get up close and personal with pasture raised chickens from a local egg farmer, pot up organic herb starts to take home and enter a contest to win a canvas tote full of organic goods produced by Jacobs Farm / Del Cabo. A wide selection of organic farm-fresh produce will be available for purchase from FARMSTAND. Talks by local farmers and food producers will span the afternoon, highlighting innovative projects and diverse agriculture in the region.
