My question is, what do you do when you encounter someone picking wildflowers in the protected habitat adjacent to the Jean Lauer Memorial Trail?
I was on the bluff this weekend and it was magnificent.
I’m not sure what the legal status of the wildflowers on the bluff is. It’s private property owned by the Peninsula Open Space Trust, so it’s not illegal like it would be in a state park. But it’s certainly ill-mannered.
The best course is probably just to speak to them politely. I know these days, that can be considered aggressive behavior by some. But it’s not exactly a rough crowd out there on the bluff picking wildflowers.
