Crab Landing announces its "Dining with the District" campaign, a community wide effort designed to raise funds for Cabrillo Education Foundation, the charitable organization providing direct funding to Cabrillo Unified School District. Sponsored by the Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce, Crab Landing invites the community to dine at the restaurant with school district and public officials on July 14, September10 and November 8 in support of education improvements.
"As a member of the Half Moon Bay community, it is paramount for us to give back and I believe it begins with our youth, says Andrei Soen, owner of Crab Landing.  "In my family, food is the love language, so this will be a great way for the community to enjoy each other’s company over a nice meal while also supporting our local youth."

"Dining with the District" will not only prove to bring people together in a time of economic uncertainty but will also help raise funds for better educational opportunities.  From the total proceeds raised by community support, Crab Landing will donate 15% to the CEF. From here, the funds will trickle down to: Hatch Elementary, El Granada Elementary, Farallone View Elementary, Kings Mountain Elementary, Cunha Intermediate and Half Moon Bay High.

"Communal events are a critical part of CEF’s ability to provide ongoing, sustainable funding to meet classroom needs", says Dr. Mike Bachicha, board director of CEF.

This year’s previous "Dining with the District" dates January 19, March 10 and May 12, generated more than $2,000 for CEF. The CEF ensures Crab Landing’s efforts will directly benefit each school’s unique programs and needs.

"Dining with the District" will boost community involvement and help build a solid education foundation for the future success of the local youth.
