Highlights of the agenda for the regular MCC meeting next Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Seton Medical Center Coastside, Marine Boulevard & Etheldore, Moss Beach.
Directions: (Take Highway 1 to Marine Boulevard and follow hospital signs uphill)
MCC attendees must park in upper parking lot (first left near top of hill) per hospital policy.
The Council will be discussing and may take action on the following Regular Agenda Items:
Regular Agenda – The Council may take action on the following items:
Airport Plan Overview – Kehoe/Napier/Wadleigh 8:00) (60 minutes) Overview and discussion of the Comprehensive Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan (ALUCP) for the Environs of HMB Airport. Richard Napier, Executive Director, City and County Association of Government (C/CAG) Airport Land Use Committee will discuss updates to the plans, policies, and criteria to achieve airport/land use compatibility for future development within a defined Airport Influence Area (AIA) boundary. Jim Wadleigh, Airport Operations Duty Manger, HMB Airport will discuss updates to the Airport Layout Plans. Supervisor Horsley will be in attendance to hear the community’s comments.
Desired Outcome: Inform the public of the planning process and time line for C/CAG's ALUCP update for the HMB Airport.
County Use of Plastic Sandbags - Ketcham (9:00) (10 minutes) Plastic sandbags left in place long term by County Dept of Public Works degrade into pieces that blow or wash into creeks and ocean.
Desired Outcome: Council will vote to request that County investigate alternative more environmentally friendly products to replace plastic sandbags.
Update the Draft Midcoast Hwy 1 Action Plan - Kehoe (9:10) (20 minutes) Summarize the discussions and public comment on the County's Hwy 1 Mobility Study Action Plan with priorities and for further detail studies.
Desired Outcome: Send the County the community’s updates on the Hwy 1 Mobility Study Action Plan, and suggestions for a method for moving the study forward to detail design for further public comment.
