Michael O’Neill & Friends this week at the Ritz & Crab Landing

Hi folks and welcome to the New Year and to the New Decade! Come out and join us in ushering in 2010 with some of the Bay Area’s best musical talent in one of the most elegant and picturesque venues anywhere.

This Thursday, January 7, Jazz with Michael O’Neill & Friends resumes at the Ritz in Half Moon Bay featuring the wonderful jazz singer, Sandra Aran http://sandraaran.com/. Sandra is one of the most talented, fun and entertaining vocalist that I have the pleasure of working with (and if you have followed me at all, you know I work with a lot of vocalists). We are currently working up – and will be performing at the Ritz -  material for a recording project and concert at the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society on Mother’s Day, May 9th. Much of the material will be original songs in Spanish - Sandra’s native tongue. Accompanying her will be two amazing young musicians; Adam Shulman on piano and Gabe Davis on bass and of course yours truly, Michael O’Neill on saxophones and clarinet.

Every Thursday from 6:30 until 10:30, enjoy the burger and beer special ($19 per person, plus tax and gratuity) while listening to us in The Conservatory Lounge. ?This coming Saturday, January 9, I will be performing at Crab Landing in Princeton Harbor with my trio which includes Larry Dunlap on keyboards and Ruth Davies on bass – two of my very favorite musicians! We will be doing a variety of instrumental music. Come enjoy great food and music and a wonderful view of the Pacific.
