High Tech Executives Bring First Green Technology Store to San Mateo County

High tech executives, Randy Reece and Terri Schoenrock Reece of Reece Computer Systems, today announced the opening of the first "green" retail technology store in San Mateo County.  Reece offers complete computer reuse and recycling services and education – making it easy for the public to have their computing needs met, while helping protect and preserve the environment.

According to Randy Reece, who has designed and implemented systems for companies with up to 60,000 people, "We are the one-stop shop today for all of our customers’ needs – whether they have a home office or a business.  What we bring is large company experience, and the ability to make everything work – applications, systems, technology – to any size group.  When we decided to expand our business, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to blend our lifestyle with our business.  Our company car is a hybrid, and we already have programs internally and with our customers to promote reduction, reuse and recycling."

The walk-in help desk, capable of servicing 16 computers simultaneously, gives customers a convenient place to bring their computer for quick and complete repair, while enjoying a complimentary cup of espresso in the new lounge area.  It also gives Reece a place to refurbish computers that have been offered for reuse to local non-profits.

The new office will carry a variety of computing and electronic supplies with virtual and physical inventory that includes: desktop and laptop computers and accessories, wireless and wired networking gear, printers and printing supplies, storage, digital photo accessories, software, and some fun new things such as the latest in Timbuktu laptop bags and accessories.  Virtual inventory helps augment the retail display area, again reducing the technology waste that occurs when companies add too much inventory.  With on-site Technology Consultants, customers will easily be able to find the best computing solutions for their individual needs – whether a complete system designed and installed for their business, or help with setting up a home office.  Reece’s goal is to make the purchase process easy for the customer.

Randy Reece has over 20 years of experience in Information System Technology, including international projects in software and hardware engineering.  He holds a degree in computer science and a Master’s degree in Business and Decision Support Systems.  Randy has started a number of successful businesses, including The Axean Group which he co-founded with Terri Reece, and was named multiple times as one of the Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in the Bay area.
