Burglary alert
Over the pass several weeks, there has been a rash of burglaries in the “commercial area” of Princeton, specifically around Princeton Ave and West Point Ave. The targets have been stored boats and commercial storage lockers. In response to the burglaries, the Sheriff’s Office has stepped up patrols in the area. We encourage the coastal community to report any suspicious activity or individuals you may see in the targeted area. Fugitive update
On 1/2/2006 about 6:00pm, the Sheriff’s Office went to a home in the 500 block of Coronado in El Granada. We had received information that fugitive, Christopher Diamond Campbell was seen at a home on Coronado. The homeowner was cooperative and allowed the deputies to search his home. Campbell was not found. Again, the Sheriff’s Office is asking the coastal communities help in locating and apprehending Campbell. This week three boats were burglarized in Princeton, a guy wanted for attempted murder is arrested in a stolen, a home was burglarized in El Granada, a youth was arrested for stolen license plates, a 1991 Chevy Lumina was stolen, a rock was thrown through the window of a car in SkyLonda, a man in Kings Mountain was arrested for spousal abuse and false imprisonment, a man walked into the Sheriff’s Substation to use the toilet and was arrested on a warrant, and a woman was arrested for DUI in Montara.

The homeowners return from being out of town and found their residence had been burglarized. Taken were computer equipment and jewelry.

A 17 year-old youth from Simi Valley was arrested Sunday morning when deputies determined that the license plates on his car had been stolen out of Lompoc. He was booked into the Hillcrest Juvenile Facility.

A Half Moon Bay resident reported to the Sheriff’s Office that his grey, 1991 Chevrolet Lumina, license plate #2XSJ094 was stolen from the 1800 block of Higgins Purisma Creek Road.

Half Moon Bay, #06-14
[Name withheld], 26 of Half Moon Bay was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and on a half-a-million dollar arrest warrant for attempted murder. Sharp-eyed Deputy Paul Kunkel spotted the grey 1991 Chevrolet Lumina at Highway 1 and North Main St. A high-risk traffic stop was affected in the driving rain. 4 suspects were taken into custody. The subsequent investigation lead to the release of the 3 passengers and the arrest of the driver.

A Montara resident reported to the Sheriff’s Office that his boat had been burglarized. Somebody boarded his boat, pried open a door and stole two tool boxes.

A Pacifica resident reported to the Sheriff’s Office that his boat had been burglarized. Somebody had boarded his boat, broke into a locker and stole a radio, a camera and a pair of binoculars.

Kings Mountain, #06-47
[Name withheld], 48, of Kings Mountain was arrested for spousal abuse and false imprisonment. [Name withheld] allegedly assaulted his wife and prevented her from leaving their residence to obtain help. He was booked into the SMCO jail.

Moss Beach
[Name withheld], 38, of Redwood City was arrested at the Sheriff’s Office sub-station in Moss Beach. Stites walked into the sub-station to use the “facilities.’ A warrant check revealed he was wanted by the California Department of Corrections. He was arrested and booked into the SMCO jail.

Montara, #06-72
[Name withheld], 36 of San Francisco was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving. [Name withheld] was located by deputies standing next to her car intoxicated. She admitted she had been driving prior to the deputies’ arrival. The CHP took over the investigation and subsequently arrested Clark for driving under the influence. She was booked into the SMCO jail.
