Sheriff’s blotter: June 10 to June 14
This week, there were three cases of vandalism, one of which might be related to stolen goods, a warrant arrest, and a theft of some batteries from lot in Princeton.

Vandalism 05-3273
06-10-05 @1120hrs
Alpine Road, La Honda
Park Rangers notified Deputies that an unknown subject had cut the gate lock to the now closed Sheriff’s Honor Camp. The subject then dumped a large amount of trash behind the old tool shed. Bicycle frames, bicycle parts, miscellaneous broken household items, computer key boards and basic trash. After checking with county communications, one of the bike frames that were dumped came back as stolen property.

Butano Cut off Pescadero
Deputies were dispatched to Pescadero High School on the report of vandalism. Sometime between the hours of 1900 and 1930 hours the previous night unknown subjects used black spray paint to write graffiti on two walls of the school.
Warrant Arrest 05-3317
06-12-05 @ 1236hrs
Hwy 1, Pescadero
On the above date and time Deputies observed a male subject walking northbound on Hwy 1. He was attempting to catch imaginary flies that were buzzing around his head. Deputies stopped to ask if he was okay. The man, age 37, from Reno told Deputies that he was recently released from jail and thought he might have a warrant for his arrest in San Mateo County. A check with county communications revealed a $20,000 warrant. Near was taken into custody without incident and booked into the county jail.
Theft 05-3333
06-13-05 @ 1730hrs
Stanford Ave, Princeton
Deputies were dispatched to a report of a theft from a Propane Company in Princeton. Deputies met with the owner of the company and were told that unknown subjects had entered his locked facility and took two batteries from his vehicles.
Vandalism 05-3362
06-14-05 @ 3362hrs
2nd Ave, Montara
On the above date and time Deputies were dispatched to 2nd Street and Main in Montara on the report of vandalism. Unknown subjects broke the rear passenger window of a vehicle. It appears that nothing was taken.
