Sheriff’s blotter: Nov 14 to 16

Someone broke into a car on Skyline by smashing the windshield and he was apparently spotted within hours nearby. A suspicious person gave a false name to a deputy and was arrested for it.

Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Skyline regarding a vehicle burglary.  The victim reported that an unknown suspect smashed the window to their vehicle, and then removed miscellaneous property, including stereo equipment.

Two hours after taking the above auto burglary, deputies were back in the 13000 block of Skyline on a suspicious person call.  Deputies contacted 21 year old [name deleted]  of Moss Beach.  He was found in possession of the items reported stolen earlier in the morning, as well as other stolen property.  He was arrested and booked into the SMCO Jail.

You think you can lie to the Sheriff and get away with it?  Think again. Deputies contacted 22 year old [name deleted] of Half Moon Bay in the 800 block of Airport St. in Princeton.  He tried giving a fake name to deputies, which is against the law.  Once the deputy learned his real name, he was arrested for providing false information to a peace officer.  Honesty is the best policy when dealing with the Sheriff.
