Sheriff’s blotter: Oct 10 to 17

An unlicensed driver is caught with marijuana on the Devil’s Slide, a DUI is detained in El Granada, a "freestyle" climber is rescued at Gray Whale Cove,  an assailant escapes at Pigeon Point perhaps in a purple Pontiac,  and a man is arrested on a warrant in San Gregorio for tampering with phone lines.

Unlicensed Driver/Seized Marijuana: 12500(a) CVC

Devil’s Slide, #05-5702
Deputies contacted eighteen year old subject, of Santa Rosa, in Devil’s Slide.  He was arrested for driving without a license.  A small amount of marijuana was also seized during this arrest.  He was booked into the SMCO Jail.

Driving Under the Influence Arrest: 23152(a) CVC

El Granada, #05-5704
Deputies arrested twenty two year old of San Francisco for DUI after she drove off of the road at Ave Alhambra and Vallejo.  When the responding deputies contacted he, she displayed the objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication.  She was uninjured and was arrested for DUI.

Cliff Rescue
Devil’s Slide, #05-5734
Deputies responded to the Grey Whale Cove area of Devil’s Slide on the report of a man trapped on the cliff. The man climbed up approximately 300 feet onto the cliff from the beach and became stuck. He told rescue personnel he had 17 years of “free style” climbing experience, but when he reached a certain point he realized he was over his head, and needed help to get down. Twenty nine year old of Oakland was rescued, and uninjured.

Unincorporated San Mateo County, #05-5736
Deputies responded to the area of Cabrillo Highway and Pigeon Point regarding an assault.  The victim sustained minor injuries and the unknown suspect fled the scene, possibly in a purple Pontiac.

San Gregorio, #05-5744
Deputies arrested twenty nine year old of San Gregorio on Bear Gulch Rd. for an outstanding arrest warrant.  The warrant was for tampering with phone lines.  He was booked into the SMCO Jail.

Possession of Methamphetamine:  11377(a) H&S

Moss Beach, #05-5777
Deputies stopped 38 year old of San Jose for vehicle code violations at Cabrillo Highway and Marine.  Deputies then arrested him for possession of a methamphetamine.  He was booked into the SMCO Jail.
