The sheriff is called in when two large political endorsements signs on the are torn down, and sheriff’s deputies make whole bunch of drug arrests this week. Two cars that are pulled over smell of marijuana, a cyclist turns out to be carrying meth, two DUI’s, a traffic stop leads to a meth warrant arrest, and a man with a fake AK-47 was found to be carrying meth.

The victim reported that two large political endorsement signs he had put up in the 12000 block of San Mateo Rd. had been knocked down by unknown suspects.  The political endorsement signs were for the Half Moon Bay City Council race, which appears to be heating up.

Deputies located a man passed out in his vehicle on Pescadero Creek Rd.  The vehicle was not running, and the man was difficult to rouse.  When 43 year old suspect of San Francisco did wake up, he was not sure where he was, he was intoxicated and uncooperative.  He was booked into the SMCO Jail.

Unincorporated San Mateo County, #05-5984
Deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the 6000 block of Cabrillo Highway.  Upon contacting the two occupants of the vehicle, 35 year old of Willits, and 18 year old transient, deputies smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and investigated further.  Approximately 26 ounces of marijuana was found in the vehicle, and both men were arrested and booked into the SMCO Jail.

Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at Capistrano and Prospect.  Upon contacting the thirty nine year old driver of Montara, deputies smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and investigated further. Approximately 25 ounces of marijuana was located in the vehicle, and he was arrested.

Deputies contacted a thirty five year old, while he rode his bicycle in the 200 block of Cornell.  A probation search yielded methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe.  He was arrested and booked into the SMCO Jail.

Montara, #05-6026
Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 1 on 2nd St. in Montara.  Upon contacting the forty six year old driver, of Montara, it was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.  He was arrested for DUI.

Half Moon Bay, #05-6048
Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 9800 block of Cabrillo Highway in Half Moon Bay. Upon contacting the twenty one year old driver of Moss Beach, it was determined that she was driving under the influence of alcohol.  She was arrested for DUI.

Deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at Ave Alhambra and Palma.  The thirty four year old driver of San Francisco, was found to have a $25,000 felony warrant for his arrest out of the Sheriff’s Office for possession of methamphetamine.  He was arrested for the warrant, and a search He to the warrant arrest, revealed he was again in possession of methamphetamine.  He was booked into the SMCO Jail for the warrant and for the new possession of methamphetamine case.

Princeton, #05-6078
Deputies located a forty nine year old of Princeton, walking down the 200 block of Harvard, with what appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle on his shoulder.  This will always attract a great deal of attention from the Sheriff’s Office.  After a short investigation, it was determined that the rifle was actually a realistic looking replica, which he said he had for Halloween.  He was found to be in possession of both methamphetamine and marijuana.  He was booked into the SMCO Jail, and will not be trick or treating this year.
