A rock is thrown through a windshield in Miramar on Halloween, a overdose call leads to a struggle with handcuffed victim, a shark gets a mouthful of surfboard instead of surfer, deputies execute a warrant arrest at the Johnson Pier in Princeton Harbor and arrest a “pedestrian” lying on a piece of cardboard in Princeton, and a guy holding drugs calls 911 and thinks better of it too late to avoid a visit from the deputies.

Vandalism: 594 PC

Miramar, #05-6092
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Mirada regarding a vandalism.  The victim reported that an unknown suspect through a rock through their window breaking the window and causing minor damage to artwork inside.  There were no other reports of vandalism this Halloween.

Montara, #05-6134
Deputies responded to the 1300 block of main regarding a possible medical call for an overdose.  When deputies arrived they found a thirty six year old of Montara to be under the influence of a controlled substance.  He then became combative with the deputies and fire fighters on scene.  It took several deputies to gain control of him, and even after in handcuffs he continued to struggle.  He was treated, and then booked into the SMCO Jail. 

Incident Case: Possible Shark Attack

Mavericks, #05-6148
A twenty five year old surfer from Half Moon Bay got very lucky while surfing Mavericks.  He was approximately 750 yards from shore near Sail Rock when he was suddenly knocked off of his surf board.  He then saw a large shark in the water thrashing around.  The surfer wisely decided to call it a day and quickly paddled to shore.  Once at shore he found that his surf board had been bitten.  Fortunately for the surfer, his board must not have tasted good, since whatever attacked him left after only one bite. The surfer was uninjured.  The Harbor Master has posted warning signs in the area, and the surf board has been submitted for testing to determine what type of shark actually bit it.

Deputies arrested forty seven year old subject of El Granada at the Johnson Pier in Princeton Harbor for an outstanding arrest warrant for resisting arrest.  He was arrested on the warrant and booked into the SMCO Jail.

Princeton, #05-6169
Deputies made a pedestrian contact with thirty six year old man in the area of Airport and Yale while he was laying down on a piece of cardboard.  He was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance, and found to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia.  He was arrested.

11-04-05 0201 Hours
Highway 92 at State Route 35, #05-6171
Deputies responded to the area of Hwy. 92 and S/R 35 regarding a 911 hang up call from a pay phone.  Deputies contacted the only person in the area, a twenty eight year old man of San Jose.  He was found to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia and marijuana, and was arrested.  The Sheriff’s Office thoroughly investigates all 911 calls, even when it is the bad guys who call.
