Sheriff’s blotter: Sept 1 to 5
This week, Sheriff’s deputies found a stolen vehicle, drunks behind the wheel, camping in a park and at the beach in Princeton, a citizen’s arrest of a suspect loitering around the women’s restrooms in Princeton, a dog bite in Moss Beach and a warrant arrest in El Granada.

Cabrillo Hwy. at Medio
While on routine patrol in the area of El Granada Sheriff’s Deputies noticed a white Mercedes Benz parked on the side of the road and left unattended. When Deputies ran a check on the license plate it came back as stolen out of San Mateo. The registered owner was called to pick up the vehicle.

Cabrillo Hwy at Stage Road
Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Hwy. 1 and crossing over the marked lines. The driver, age 59, of Half Moon Bay admitted to having few drinks with friends after work. Field Sobriety tests were given and failed. He was arrested and transported to the county jail.

Pescadero Creek Road
Deputies were dispatched to Memorial Park on the report of an intoxicated subject that was verbally abusive with other campers. Deputies contacted age 44 of Santa Clara and found him to be too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to the county jail.

Pescadero Creek Road
On the above date and time unknown subjects broke into a business located on Pescadero Creek Road and stole a cash register.

Johnson Pier, Princeton
Deputies responded to a complaint by a victim regarding a suspect loitering around the women’s public restroom. County communications gave a description of the suspect and the suspect was detained in relative proximity of the public restrooms. The victim was interviewed and she performed a field identification on the suspect with positive results. The victim made a citizen’s arrest on the suspect for loitering in or about a toilet open to the public for the purpose of engaging in a lewd act. The suspect, age 34, of Moss Beach was booked into the county Jail.

Pillar Point Harbor
Deputies were dispatched to the Pillar Point Harbor regarding a woman who was lying on the beach, breathing but unconscious. Deputies contacted the woman who had a hard time communicating. Deputies could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her person. Medics determined that the female, age 24, of El Granada was so intoxicated that she needed to be transported to Seton Coastside Hospital for treatment. Later, Deputies were called to Seton regarding an intoxicated female who was combative, loud, obnoxious and refusing treatment. She was found to be unable to care for herself. She was arrested for being drunk in public and transported to the county jail to be released when sober.

Moss Beach
Deputies were dispatched to the Sheriff’s North Coast Substation to meet with the victim of a dog bite. The victim had puncture wounds, swelling, and bruising to his lower left leg. The victim was walking on Park Avenue when a dog known as “Red Fred” bit him.

El Granada
Deputies received information regarding an individual’s location in El Granada. The individual was known to have two outstanding warrants. Deputies contacted the man, age 43, of El Granada. He was aware of the warrants and claimed he was “going to take care of them” in the near future. Wolfe was arrested and transported to the county jail.
