WARRANT ARREST
Princeton, 0045 Hours

A Deputy Sheriff made contact with a person in a suspicious vehicle, located in the Harbor area. While speaking to the driver, her speech was slurred, and she displayed objective signs of intoxication, as well as a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. A record check revealed a “no bail” warrant for Hit and Run 20002 VC. She was placed under arrest, but since she had a dog with her she asked the deputies go into the bar and ask her boyfriend to take the dog for her. They made contact with her boyfriend, age 47, of San Mateo. He was intoxicated, and would not cooperate with the deputies, or help his girlfriend. The bartender tried to calm him down, but was unable to. Due to his being unable to care for himself, due to his intoxication, he was placed under arrest for being drunk in public, 647 F PC. , and the couple were both transported to the Main Jail. The dog was given to a friend.
Driving Under the Influence

Deputies were dispatched to Medio Ave, on a report of loud drunken subjects next to a vacant lot. Upon arrival the deputies make contact, and told them why they were there. The subjects appeared to be intoxicated and they were warned not to drive. A person identified as a woman, age 56, of Half Moon Bay, protested that she was not drunk, and was not causing any problems, as she stumbled backwards. The deputy offered to call them a cab, but they refused saying they would walk to a near by restaurant and call their own cab. A short time later the deputies were driving past the restaurant when they were flagged down by the manager, who said there were people causing trouble inside. The deputy made contact with the same people as before, but the suspect was not among them. A deputy responded back to Medio Ave, just in time to see the suspect driving away. She immediately committed a vehicle code infraction, and a traffic stop was made. she was given several Field Sobriety Tests, after which she was placed under arrest for DUI. 23152CaCVC.

Over the past weekend an unknown suspect broke into the construction site for the new tunnel, in Devil’s Slide, and stole a very expensive chain saw. There were no leads at first, until the suspect sold the chain saw to a shop in Jamestown, California. While trying to register the saw it came up as stolen. The investigating Deputy contacted the shop owner, and asked him is he could identify the suspect. The owner replied “yes, I made him leave a copy of his driver’s license”. Sheriff’s Detectives will be contacting the suspect shortly.

A Deputy Sheriff was walking past a vehicle stopped at a rest area. At that time he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. He asked the driver if he was smoking marijuana, the driver responded “yeah, but I have a medical marijuana card” he was asked if he had anymore marijuana, the subject replied yes, and some “Hash”. He went on to say he had just finished smoking a bowl. He said he likes to put Hashish on top of his marijuana when he smokes, “sort of like icing on the cake”. He said he was given a medical marijuana card from Hayward, because he has a sore back. The suspect, age 18, of Saratoga was placed under arrest for violation 11357(a) H&S, and transported to the Main Jail.
