Two juveniles escape from Camp Glenwood in La Honda by stealing a teacher’s car, a woman is arrested for domestic violence, planters are broken at El Granada Elementary, a mental health evaluation in Montara, minor at Pigeon Point is drunk and a companion has drugs, tools are taken from the construction site at Skylawn and public drunkenness in Pillar Point Harbor. On 5/12/06, two juveniles escaped from Camp Glenwood by taking car keys from a teacher’s purse without her knowledge and then taking her car from the parking lot.  The stolen vehicle was observed by Sheriff’s Deputy William Pickens southbound on Highway 101 in Menlo Park. After a short pursuit into East Palo Alto the stolen vehicle was involved in a minor traffic collision.  The driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested at the scene and booked into Hillcrest Juvenile Hall.  The passenger of the vehicle fled the scene and was not located by law enforcement personnel.

Female, 42 of Moss Beach, was arrested for Misdemeanor domestic violence after hitting her boyfriend several times during an altercation.  She was arrested and booked into The Maguire County Jail in Redwood City.
Vandalism – 594 PC (Misdemeanor)

Unknown suspect(s) broke several wooden flower planters at El Granada Elementary School during the previous night.

Mental Health Evaluation – 5150 W&I

Montara, #06-2781
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to an address on Birch Street in Montara to conduct a welfare check on the resident.  When Deputies contacted the resident at the address he was very intoxicated and made some statements that concerned the Deputies.  The resident was taken into custody for his safety and transported to San Mateo County General Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Male, 24 of El Granada was stopped for driving the wrong way on Coronado Street.  During the contact with him, Deputies determined that he was under the influence of alcohol.  Field sobriety tests were conducted and he was arrested for driving under the influence.

Pigeon Point, #06-2793
Deputies responded to assist a California Fish and Game Warden near Pigeon Point who was investigating a possible “Drug transaction” he had witnessed.  Deputies contacted two individuals on the beach and found a minor to be under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. The minor was found to be in possession of a controlled substance (Hashish).  Another male subject was found to be in possession of a controlled substance (Ecstasy).  Both individuals were arrested and transported to jail.

On 5/15/06, unknown suspect(s) accessed the construction site at Skylawn Cemetery and took several construction tools and supplies.

Drunk in Public-647(f) PC (Misdemeanor)
5/17/06, 0120 hours
Pillar Point Harbor, #06-2856
Male, 28 of Princeton, was arrested for public intoxication at The Pillar Point Harbor.  He was contacted by Sheriff’s Office Deputies after a disturbance at a local bar.  Based on his high level of intoxication, he was arrested and booked into The Maguire Main Jail in Redwood City to be released when sober.
