This week there was a vandalism, possession of drugs, auto burglary, DUI, and a burglary of a park’s gate house.

Vandalism 05-2970
05-27-05 @ 1255hrs
Barranca Street, Moss Beach

On Friday, 05-27-05 at approximately 0045 hours, a victim parked her vehicle in front of her residence.  When she returned at 1245 hours, she noticed her right tires were flat and after inspecting them, she concluded they were punctured by a sharp object. The victim is not sure who would have punctured her tires, but said an ex-roommate has recently been mad at her and has been known to do violent things.  The victim told Deputies she did not know how to contact the suspect but she thought she was living somewhere in San Mateo.

Pigeon Point Road

Deputies contacted a male subject while he slept naked with his dog inside the cab of his truck parked on Pigeon Point Rd in unincorporated San Mateo County.  Further investigation revealed that the male,age 41, of Moss Beach was in possession of a controlled substance.  Zerbe was arrested, transported and booked into the county jail.  Animal Control took possession of the dog.  The vehicle was towed. 

Auto Burglary 05-2999
05-28-05 @ 1241hrs
Roquena Drive, La Honda

Deputies were dispatched to the above address on a report of an auto burglary. The victim is a volunteer firefighter with the La Honda Fire Department. When he entered his vehicle he noticed that an unknown suspect had entered his vehicle and took his scanner, satellite radio and his firefighting turnouts. Although a suspect has not been identified, a security video CD was brought to the Sheriff’s Office for review.

Cabrillo Hwy @ Coral Reef

On the above date and time Sheriff’s Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving erratically on Hwy 1 in Moss Beach. Deputies contacted the driver, age 49. The driver was administered field sobriety tests and was found to be driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and transported to the county jail.

05-31-05 @ 1930hrs
Pescadero Creek Road

Between the dates of 05-30-2005, at approximately 1930 hours, and 05-30-2005, at approximately 0800 hours, unknown suspects broke into the Gate House located at the front entrance of Memorial Park in San Mateo Co.  The suspects took $50.00 in cash and attempted to break into the safe.
