A seemingly casual burglary in Moss Beach and a more serious one in El Granada, lost hikers in Pescadero, identity theft in La Honda, vandalism of tires in Moss Beach, and road rage:

Deputies were dispatched to a road rage incident, in the area of Highway 1 and Capistrano Road, in the Unincorporated Town of El Granada.  While en route they were advised that the suspect had brandished a rifle at the victim.  They located the suspect vehicle and a search of the vehicle yielded a brown, Ruger 10/22 long rifle and marijuana.

Warrant Arrest

Carlos St / Virginia Ave, Moss Beach
Deputies made a traffic stop and after running a routine check through county communications it was confirmed that the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken to the county jail.

Residential Burglary
12/08/10 @ 1237 hours
600 block of Stetson St., Moss Beach
On the listed date and time unknown suspects entered through the victim’s open garage door and rummaged through the family belongings. There appeared to be no damaged property or items missing.

Incident Report
12/08/10 @ 2022 hours
8800 block of Pescadero Creek Road, Pescadero
Deputies were dispatched to a report of lost hikers. The hikers had called the Sheriff’s office from their cell phone and reported that they were lost and running low on food and water. A command post was set up and the Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services was called to assist and a search party was deployed. The hikers were located at approximately 0120 hours. They were medically evaluated and released from the post.

Road Rage Incident
12/09/10 @ 1745 hours
Cabrillo Hwy / Capistrano Way, El Granada
On 12/09/2010, at approximately 1745 hours Deputies were dispatched to a road rage incident, in the area of Highway 1 and Capistrano Road, in the Unincorporated Town of El Granada.  While en route they were advised that the suspect had brandished a rifle at the victim.  They located the suspect vehicle and a search of the vehicle yielded a brown, Ruger 10/22 long rifle and marijuana.  The victim positively identified the suspect as well as the suspect vehicle during an in field identification.  The suspect was subsequently arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for being in violation of PC 417.3 (Brandishing a Firearm) and VC 23222 (b) (Possession of Marijuana in a Vehicle.

DUI
12/09/10 @ 2309 hours
8700 block of La Honda Road, La Honda
A male subject was arrested and booked into the county jail for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He told Deputies that he had been drinking at Apple Jacks Bar and then drove home. He missed the driveway and ran into a power pole.

Fraud / ID Theft
12/10/10 @ 1528 hours
Tunitas Creek Road, Pescadero
Between 12-03-2010 and 12-07-2010, unknown suspects opened three credit accounts using the victim’s identity. The three retail businesses were Macy’s, Kohl’s and Target. There is possible video of the suspects at Macy’s and Kohl’s. The investigation is continuing.

DUI
12/10/10 @ 2352 hours
20000 block of Cabrillo Hwy, San Gregorio
Deputies were dispatched to an auto accident where the vehicle had left the road and was engulfed in flames. The sole occupant of the vehicle was out and unharmed. Deputies could smell the odor of alcohol and asked the driver if she had been drinking before driving. She admitted that she had. Field Sobriety tests were conducted and failed. The driver was arrested and taken to the county jail.

DUI
12/11/10 @ 0139 hours
Bridgeport Dr. / Coral Reef Ave, El Granada
Suspect is contacted as the driver of a motor vehicle after committing various vehicle code violations.  The suspect is found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and possessing marijuana and open containers of alcohol in a motor vehicle.  The suspect provided a breath samples which showed his BAC to be .21.

Vandalism
12/11/10 @ 2300 hours
800 block of Etheldore St., Moss Beach
On 12-10-10, between 2000 hours and 2300 hours a resident on Etheldore Street was the victim of a vandalism by unknown suspect.  The suspect used and unknown object to puncture holes in the two front tires of the victim’s vehicle.  The victim estimates it will cost approximately $400.00 dollars to replace the tires.

Incident Report
12/12/10 @ 1245 hours
2600 block of Purisima Creek Road, Half Moon Bay
On 12/12/2010 at approximately 1245 hours, the victim was roller-skating at the 2600 block of Purisima Creek Road. An unknown white Ford SUV drove by the victim and someone in the vehicle shot an orange paint ball at the victim, hitting him on the left wrist. The victim did not suffer an injury and he did not see the occupants of the vehicle. 

Warrant Arrest
12/12/10 @ 1515 hours
Chamomile Lane, Moonridge
A resident in the Moonridge Housing complex was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Residential Burglary
12/13/10 @ 1800 hours
200 block of Coral Reef, El Granada
On 12/13/2010, between 0900 and 1800 hours, an unknown suspect(s) gained entry in to the victim’s residence by prying open a sliding door.  The unknown suspect took a laptop computer, a digital camera, Swedish money (Crowns) and several pieces of gold jewelry.  The unknown suspect(s) fled the residence undetected.
